Hey Y'all ~
My name is Teras pronounced {Terez}. I'm completely in love with Jesus and because of Him I am a free spirit! I'm not perfect...I'm forgiven {daily} I am a traditional girl with a modern twist. I am the proud mother of 4 AMAZING children, little sister to my Mookie, favorite daughter of John & Clara and 3rd youngest granddaughter to Ms. Emma!! I truly believe that my smile is contagious. I love to laugh and share my joy with my family and friends. I'm like my grandmother. She was social a butterfly and never met a stranger. My husband and I own a Trucking Company and we are sooo blessed that God that has allowed us to be a servant. For years we have designed beautiful weddings and memories in our Event Planning & Design Company {T.evenire}. But as the kids grew older I realized that I needed to devote more time with my family and that's when I decided to return solely to my first love... Stationery Designing!!! I love to shop for purses, I love pretty things and I can talk for hours about just about anything. God has blessed me to overcome many of life's obstacles and it's my gift to Him to share His love by Living Out Loud!
My little boutique is based in Atlanta, Georgia and I have been in the Wedding Industry for several years. As a Wedding Planner, I was able to offer my clients the simplistic style of Wedding Designing. As Stationery Designer, I currently design beautiful stationery that tells my client’s love story.
My love for teaching was birth while working and attending Fort Valley State University. During my time “in the Valley”, I was the Computer Lab Manager. In that position, I taught faculty, staff and students Desktop Publishing.
After moving to Atlanta I realized a dream of working at IBM {Wildwood} in the graphics department. From there, I was blessed to work at the Prestigious Spelman College. While working in the Writing Center, I taught Desktop Publishing to the Faculty, Staff and Students. One of my proudest moments was that “my gift” enabled the final class to produce the campus yearbook as well as publish books using the skills I taught them.
As a designer I searched for resources to sharpen my craft. I sought out mentors and educational opportunities, but there was no support for Creative Stationery Designers. Yes, there are workshops pertaining to Graphic Designing, but none specific to the softer side of designing. I have designed thousands of beautiful stationery, but it has been hearts desire to create a platform for people like me. Lovers of papers, fonts and stationery designing
Here I have created a place where designers will gain confidence in their skills, knowledge of tools + techniques and success in their own respective businesses. I am honored that you are reading my story and I welcome you to the safe haven for designers.
